Side este un oras unic in Turcia, un adevarat muzeu in aer liber, situat la 75 km distanta de Antalya, pe o peninsula plata plina de vestigii arheologice importante si inconjurata de apele albastre ale Mediteranei.

Turistii care vin sa se bucure de plajele largi de nisip si de hotelurile luxoase din zona raman impresionati de arhitectura partii vechi a orasului si mai ales de marturiile istoriei antice atat de bine reprezentate si conservate aici.

Printre cele mai importante vestigii se afla marele Amfiteatru din perioada elenistica, Templele Romane ale lui Apollo si Artemis, portile orasului, muzeul si apeductele.
